‘The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world’, this could not have been truer than these inspiring women/moms. As Mothers Day is approaching we cannot but not mention the most inspiring stories about moms from across the world, but first just a brief history as to why and how it came into being.
In 1914, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson officially recognized Mother’s Day as a national holiday. One hundred years later, the holiday has become a global celebration to honor the mothers who made sacrifices to raise generations of children and support them through adulthood.
Rachel Hollis: Blogger and mommy to three kids
This 32-year-old mother from Los Angeles decided to flaunt her midriff in a Facebook post that went viral.
I have stretch marks and I wear a bikini. I have a belly that’s permanently flabby from carrying three giant babies and I wear a bikini. My belly button is saggy… (which is something I didn’t even know was possible before!!) and I wear a bikini. I wear a bikini because I’m proud of this body and every mark on it. Those marks prove that I was blessed enough to carry my babies and that flabby tummy means I worked hard to lose what weight I could. I wear a bikini because the only man who’s opinion matters knows what I went through to look this way. That same man says he’s never seen anything sexier than my body, marks and all. They aren’t scars ladies, they’re stripes and you’ve earned them. Flaunt that body with pride!
Her one picture inspired moms all over the world who felt confident and proud of their mommy body image, which is so unlike the perfect model figure being flaunted across the globe.

The Ultimate Soccer Mom: Amy Rodriguez
Most world-class female athletes forgo parenthood until they finish their athletic career. Amy became pregnant in her prime(at age 28), forcing her to miss the entire 2013 season.
With the help of a physical therapist, a trainer, and a strength-and-fitness coach, she was back on the pitch in just four months. Last season, playing for FC Kansas City, she notched 13 goals in 22 games. Her heightened conditioning helps her make endless runs toward the goal, but she also credits becoming a mom: “It’s helped me be more composed and relaxed on the field,” she says.
I would like to end this post with a line that she said ;
“We all have the inner strength to be supermoms.”
