Looks absolutely yummylicious ,doesn’t it?I guess not only the taste but the way it was presented gets you salivating.I mean rasam shots with sooji balls called’kuzhipanigarams’,I wonder why give something so simple such a complicated name.
This is a unique characterstic I have observed about the South Indians, married to one. They like to make everything sound complicated and then feel amused when you very seriously try and pronounce the names ,not being able to roll your ‘r’s very properly ;0)!
You can have these sooji balls dipped in the rasam and then drink up the tomato rasam or you can have it seperately with ketchup, either way tastes yumm.
The other preparation is called ‘ Nombu Kozhakatai’,now you see the point I was trying to make, lol!
This ‘Kozhakatai’ can be made both sweet and salty, and it’s colloqial name is ‘Adai’,this dish is specially made for “nombu’ festival where the Southie women fast and pray to God for their husband’s long life,an equivalent to the ‘Karvachauth’ of the North.
The recipe of these awesome dishes coming up soon!Be patient!
