On the outset, I would like to clarify I am not an expert so if your baby has any allergy or specific medical condition, it’s best to refer to a dermatologist but in this post I am going to be sharing recipes/tips that your and mine grandma has passed on to us over the years and also some learnings I have had along the way. Also, some DIYs for Baby Diaper Rash Cream and Baby Moisturiser, which you can make at home.
What can you put on a baby’s face for dry skin?
You can apply a few drops of breast milk on the dry patches of your little one’s skin. It’s one of the most natural moisturisers.
You can also put olive oil, Vaseline, or A‑D ointment on areas that have dry patches.
Monitor baby water intake- 6-8 glasses of water is good.
Make sure your baby has Vitamin- A,B and E in their food.
Make sure they eat less sugary food.

Melt the oils in the microwave for not more than 30 seconds. Whip the coconut oil and shea butter for one minute. Add a few drops of essential oil and whip again till it solidifies. Store in a dry jar.
You can massage the baby with virgin coconut oil or scrub the baby with homemade scrub.

Keep changing diapers every 4-5 hours. Keep the baby bottom always dry and always wash gently and pat dry.
Apply diaper rash cream at every change and not only when you see a rash.
If the rash is really bad the sure shot remedy is Desitin. It has high amount of Zinc Oxide so it usually works in one or two applications itself.

Soft Lips For Babies
My grandma used to tell us to put ghee in our belly buttons in the night so that we get soft lips. You can try that and also make the following at home.
Dry some rose petals and dry grind them, then mix them in glycerine and store in the dry jar in the fridge. Apply on your and your baby’s lips to keep lips hydrated and pink.
