What Made Me a Stronger and more hands-on Mom
First-time moms have so many questions and they are forever looking for answers while gulping advice from all corners. I was no exception, reading up, running to google for aid, losing my mind, hearing no end of a list of advice from my parents, in-laws and every other lady who came in my vicinity. I was determined to be a hands-on mom, gorging on all the information I could gather, trying to do everything for my baby on my own.
The doctor said -‘Do not massage your kid with oil’
Parents claimed-‘ Our kids were all massaged and they came out fine’.
Aunty, next door told me to give my baby some water apart from my feed when she heard him cry from colic, google asked me to breastfeed exclusively for at least 6 months. My mom believed in using only cloth diapers for the first few months and my home looked no less than a ‘dhobi ghat’, with cloth triangles hanging dry from all ends. To add to my woes, the baby decided to sleep for less than 8 hours a day and in bits and keep pooping every time he woke up. Needless to say, I was losing my mind. (READ MORE)
Ha ha , yes this confusion and people confusing new parents are always around to mess it up. I have always believed in doing a lot of Internet study to handle situations..

Lovely story and experience that you earned as a mom. This motherhood journey is different for each mom but each mom has same unconditional love and affection for her children.

Trust me be it first time or second it’s all same…had my second kid now after gap of five years but the confusion remains same Whn to start oil massages…lol think we moms alwys want to see our babies relaxed and happy…and bests of health so thnx Prena keep updating us all…jst like u alwys do!
