Novotel Imagica

Novotel Imagica

Our first visit to Imagica was a few years back when it had just opened up. It was one of the coolest theme parks India had ever come up with and I called it the Universal Studio with an Indian heart. The trip took us 2.5 hours with all the Mumbai traffic and after spending the whole day there, we had to drive back. It was fun but we got too tired and driving back in that traffic was not fun.

Fast forward to April 2019 and Ahaan and I are headed to Imagica again. This time we are going to stay at Hotel Novotel Imagica which is located next to India’s biggest theme park Adlabs Imagica and Aquamagica. I am so glad that Novotel opened here because we can head to Imagica whenever we want and head back to the hotel when we are done.

We reached Novotel at 12 in the afternoon and it was way better than what I had expected. Even with crowds flushing in, due to summer vacations, their service was very good and the rooms, cleanliness to the tee. I checked, they have 287 rooms and 4 restaurants to manage the influx. We were given a welcome drink while the check-in happened.
Our room was really modern and well equipped with WIFI, a King bed, Sofa cum Bed, 40″ LED TV, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee Machine and more.
It was lovely to be in Imagica with other mom bloggers who are so much fun to be with.

With Shubhreet and Jasmeet- I am sure this pic shows the vibes

Our focus was clear, we freshened up and all of us headed to Imagica by the hotel shuttle which operates every hour. Since it was April and hot, we tried all indoor rides, the snow park and waited till the parade happened. We wanted to head to the water park but just this much kept us busy. Our favourite ride was Mr India. The virtual ride took us through a roller coaster experience.

With Shubhreet from Raising Karma and family.

Irolic parade with Cinderella

We had an ice-cream to beat the heat and decided to walk back to the hotel as it was hardly a 5-min walk.

Just goofing around

Once rested we joined in all the family games, housie etc that the hotel engages the guests in. From cooking classes to pottery making, Zumba or nail art, there was never a dull moment.
Ahaan, also played air hockey other games that are in the gaming zone. The gaming zone activities had to be paid for.
Dinner was at the Square and the food and the lay is really good. The lunch and breakfast were my favourite meals there.
Tip- do head there on time for dinner as it tends to get crowded.
What a lay!!! It inspired us to click pics.
The next day, we enjoyed some pool fun and archery and balloon shooting and I figured that I was pretty good at it.

Did I tell you, I aced every shot?

There was an Irolic parade that happened with all the characters from the theme park like Mr India, Mogambo etc during breakfast time and it was a sight to see the kids go crazy. I literally had to run after Ahaan. This so reminded me of characters that have breakfast with you at Disneyland.

Amenities:

Restaurants-

It offers a variety of choice with restaurants like The Square – All Day Dining Restaurant, Nitro Bar, Tubbby’s Bistro and Flotz.

 Spa, Gym and Kids Room

It’s has a reasonably equipped gym and a dedicated spa next to the kid’s room. Parents can drop their kids in the kids room and head either way :).

The gym

The spa

The kids room. When my kids were younger, this was the most essential part of my stay.

The pool- Best way to beat the heat

By the way, there is a ticket inside the hotel also, so buy your tickets there – you can beat the lines on the ticket counters outside!

Here are some packages that you can avail of if you are planning to stay there and head to Imagica.

       > Economy package –

  • Accommodation for 1 Night
  • Entry tickets to Theme Park & Water Park
  • Next Day Breakfast

I could not have asked for a better arrangement of stay and food and fun along with Imagica and we are sure to be back once the weather cools down. Novotel has definitely made the whole experience worth the travel.  We are taking back some lovely times.

Tip – monsoon would be the best time to plan a visit to the hotel. The weather would be better and the greenery around will make it worth it.

Novotel Imagica seems the perfect place to head for a family getaway. I can the place living up to the brand image of Novotel with its characteristic warmth and ambience. The fact that they have packages which include visits to the amusement park is really so convenient.
