Maternity Fashion

Let Us Make Maternity Fashion More Interesting And Approachable.

You couldn’t be more excited to enter this phase of your life. You are Expecting! Are you ready to start with the most jovial experience? Hell yeah!

A mother is likely to do everything under her circumstances to take care of the new life that she is bringing into this world. But most importantly she forgets that she needs to take care of herself as a priority when she’s pregnant and feel good about yourself. Comfort should also be on your top list. When we say comfort, clothes are the most crucial part. Whether you want to show your pregnancy or hide it.  Since many of us might not be ready just to announce to the world yet, while a lot of us are curious to share this journey with everyone.

A comfortable pair of clothes is likely to keep your mood cheered and free.

So the question is, by which week would the baby bump be visible? How can we cover the initial stages of the bump? What kind of outfits would suit us?

We have got you covered – MATERNITY CLOTHING.

Don’t lose hope. You can always enjoy fashion while being pregnant. Yes, you won’t be able to wear your favourite pair of jeans or your bodycon dress for some time but maternity clothes come in a huge fashion range. Nowadays, you get pregnancy jeans to accomodate for your baby bump and even bodycon dresses. Trust me you can still look all glamorous while carrying a miraculous being inside you. Have linked a few websites in the blog later for you to check.

You can always enjoy Fashion, no matter what.

What materials should be suitable?

Pile up those cotton. Cotton clothes are a huge relief. they are quite breathable and helps absorb sweat. Would keep you cool and hence a good mood. It is highly skin-friendly and prevents rashes.

Avoid unnatural fabrics like chiffon or synthetics. Wear clean clothes during pregnancy, you want to avoid skin rashes.

Light cotton clothes are always comfortable and acceptable.

The increase in your baby bump wouldn’t be much evident till your 12th week. Even during the 12th week, it might be barely visible to the people. You would likely see a few increasing changes by week 16-17. Thereafter between weeks 20-26, there comes evident changes in your body, and that’s when the bump is visible.

Let us just add that every women’s pregnancy journey is different, and so does the physical changes. But there are a few consistent things that remain constant for each woman.

So by when can you start wearing Maternity Clothing?

Typically one should start wearing maternity clothes when you start feeling uncomfortable with your regular clothes. That may be, the fittings might irritate you due to weight gain or since you go through hormonal changes and you start feeling hotter in particular material of clothes. Usually, at end of your first trimester.

What kind of clothes should I prefer to hide the baby bump?

Evidently, any loose outfit would help. But wearing very loose might increase the doubts. Wear a size larger, something that doesn’t hug your belly. For example boyfriends t-shirt, shirts are one of the best styling options. Where you can look simple yet classy.

Grab your husband’s favorite pair of hoodie/tshirt.

What apparels are most suited for Maternity Fashion?

Yes, maternity fashion is an actual thing! You cannot miss looking all chic while your pregnancy glow is real.

We would suggest trying an A-line dress, fit-n-flare, or wrap dresses. Wrap-around dresses or tops are the most gorgeous thing to stalk up in a maternity line. Not only would it give you a sleeker look, but also make your fashion game-high. The point being, these outfits will let the eyes off from your belly growth. Investing in Maxi dresses and tunics is always a great option. Not only would they work during pregnancy but you could play styling them even after pregnancy.

Fit n Flare Dresses or tops are always recommended for Maternity Clothing.

The most trending maternity apparel is Skirt! Most comfortable, style variants, and versatile. Keeping in mind that during pregnancy visiting the washroom is frequently high. Outfits with easy access are a must. Pleated, asymmetrical, high-low, handkerchief, circle, flared, drapes are all variants of skirts you should try. Styling it with simple tops or tunics is the best maternity pair you could have.

You can never go wrong while styling a Skirt.

Also, bottoms with drawstrings or elastic are highly recommended. Considering the change in your belly growth, adjusting to your shape is necessary.

Do we need to switch to Maternity Bras?

Women with larger breasts might consider shifting to maternity bras earlier during pregnancy. Apart from your belly, breast and waist size increases too. Investing in good-quality maternity bras and comfortable cotton underwear would be a good decision.

Breasts prepare for lactation, also after childbirth, breastfeeding the kid might bring changes in the size of your breast. It is necessary to switch to a maternity bra during your early pregnancy period. This happens usually after the first trimester.

Avoid wearing underwire bras during the pregnancy and even while breastfeeding days.

Myths on Maternity Fashion

Avoid wearing bodycon dresses. NO.

Many women might be uncomfortable with body-hugging dresses but there is absolutely no rule that one cannot wear them. In fact, maternity bodycon dresses are a great trend, showing off your baby bump with that gorgeous sense of fashion. The ultimate idea is, if you are comfortable, you can carry any piece of apparel the right way!

There are no Fashion barriers until and unless you feel Positive.

Pregnancy days are tough but jovial. You may feel out of fashion some days but that’s ok. Your mood swings kick in the most during pregnancy. One thing we need to share with you all is, do not to forget to take care of yourself. Of course, the baby is your top priority but for that, the mommy needs to be in the perfect figure. Thus, comfort should always be over fashion.

Enjoy your Pregnancy Days with Chic but Comfortable Fashion.
