Monsoon friendly fashion tips

Monsoon friendly fashion tips

During monsoon, most people avoid styling themselves and dressing up solely because they are scared of their make up running down and their fashion coming to an abrupt end. We have all faced that problem in our lives due to monsoon. But its time to stop giving in, your love for fashion, to the fear of monsoon. You can easily escape the monsoon trouble but still look trendy this monsoon with these Monsoon Friendly Fashion Tips.

SWITCH TO LIGHT

Light material clothes are the best way of clothing yourself during the monsoon season. These light items of clothing help you feel breezy. These are also helpful during laundry because such clothes take less time to dry out and so you don’t have to worry about your clothes not drying off.

NO DENIM!

Denim is a thick material and going out in denim during the monsoon season creates a problem as the denim sticks to your body and makes it irritable to walk or pretty much do anything in them. The better option during monsoon is to opt for leggings or jeggings and light trousers.

NO WHITES!

Avoid wearing clothes that are white or pastel in colour. During monsoon, there is a lot of dirt and mud around, therefore wearing whites in such season will ruin your clothes and since whites and pastels are light colours, you can easily point out the dirt on them.

GO SHORT

Short clothing is much preferable during the monsoon as no one is interested in getting their clothes dirty. It is not apt to wear long skirts or bell bottoms or such type of clothing during this season. You can go for short skirts, shorts or palazzos that are above ankle length to avoid getting your clothes dirty.

NO FLIPPITY-FLOPS

During monsoon, flip-flops are a definite NO. Flip-flops tend to be slippery and since there is a lot of water around during the monsoon, the loss of friction causes slipping. It’s best to avoid flip-flops during monsoon in order to save yourself the embarrassment of falling. Instead, go for rubber sandals. They have a better grip and won’t easily slip even during the monsoon season which is a much better option.

BUNS AND TAILS

There is a lot of moisture trapped in the air during monsoon. The humidity in the air increases rapidly, putting your hair down will be a bad decision especially if you are styling your hair because it won’t last on the hair too long because of the humidity in the air. It is best to go for updos like buns and ponytails so that your hair stays in place but also looks natural at the same time.

LIGHT MAKEUP

Wearing light makeup is convenient because, during monsoon, there is very less opportunity for touch-ups. Going for light makeup not only looks natural and trendy; it also keeps your skin healthy and fresh looking.

AVOID ANY HAIR TREATMENT

Any sort of hair treatment this season is a BIG NO. Because of the humidity in the hair, your desired look will not be achieved. So straitening, curling, or perming your hair should n0ot be an option for the rainy season. Go natural this season.
