Uttarakhand tragedy…we read about it everyday,have we done something about it?

I just can’t sleep….thousands of noises, newsclips and videos are racing in my head even as I try to shut my eyes to it…but I just can’t sleep.

What happened in Uttarakhand is horrible and tragic but what is worse is how we hear such news ,feel horrible and then shut ourselves to it . Taj shooting,26/7 rains ,Building collapses are everyday news,accidents on the road happen and we just see and move on .We move on and don’t do anything till finally it hits someone close or we are in the midst of one.That’s when we regret ,thats we get thinking,thats when we understand.It’s too late by then.Helping strangers in their time of need may not guarantee you returns ,but it will at least make you a compassionate person and people around you too.When there is a bombing in the US or a shooting in London ,how the whole country reacts to it and takes measures to be for each other,that’s the compassion we Indians are missing.
