What Does Feminism Mean To The Generation Z?

Does the apple fall very far from the tree or not? What do words like “Feminism” and ” Machoism”, hold for the Millennials or even the Centennials also known as the Generation Z?

Is Feminism an unnecessary term in the Generation Z as they are already being brought up in a liberated world with way more things to focus on than heavy terms like such. I have called this generation the ‘Popcorn Generation’ many times because of the time span anything holds their attention.

Which basically means they prefer spending more time on their gadgets than enjoying experiences. This makes me wonder are they living in a virtual world vs the real one?

Yes, it’s always easy to be on the other side of the fence and be judgemental and since we were celebrating #WomensMonth this entire month of March, this time I decided to interview someone from that generation and understand their view point.

Are You Really An Empowered Woman? Happy International Womens Day 2019

Here is a short and wonderful interview with Ariana Gupta, a 17-year-old, author of the popular book ‘New Age Fairy Tales’, a Tedx Speaker, to discuss this with and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

Not summarising my thoughts here, because I want you to form and opinion and let me know what you thought after listening to her interview.

If you are belong to the Baby Boomer generation or the Millennials or even the Generation Z and have something to say on this topic, then do comment below and if we like your answer we will add it to the post, giving you credit.

Today many women think feminism is some sort of tool to dominate men! It is not! Feminism is all about gender equality, about walking hand in hand towards progress! And yes, we should not forget the men in feminism…

I agree with her thought feminism is not just about for women its about men as well. We need to break the stereotype and patriarchy from the early childhood. Men being head of the family, men eat first and then women is something now old fashion. All are equal thats feminism.

I quite agree with what Ariana has mentioned as her opinion about Feminism. Even I am very much in favor of equality in genders. Feminism is vast term but we only can decide what’s the meaning by conscious judicious thinking
