Reclaim Khadi

Reclaim Khadi is an initiative by brand Rewanta (#PledgeKhadiEmpowerWeavers) initiative aims to create an opportunity for artisans to earn a dignified livelihood to combat the setback of the lockdown and keep them from slipping back into the cycle of poverty.  The Khadi sector employs about 4.6 lakhs artisans. The off peak season has created a big unemployment crisis for the year and basic problems like hunger and diseases might take a toll on their very existence. With this initiative the target challenge is to weave 5 lac meters of Khadi fabric and empower about 5000 weaver families. With every garment pledged we are restarting one looms and Charkha, that are now lying idle due to lack of demand.

SLURRP FARM –Vocal For Local Campaign

Slurrp Farm range – Vocal For Local India

Shauravi and Meghna are two moms who started SLURRP Farm in 2016,  as they felt that as parents they were really short of options to feed our children.

Shauravi & Meghna Co Founders Slurrp Farm

They also wanted to start a business that could be a force for good. At Slurrp Farm, they are on a mission to help families access high-quality breakfast and mealtime options. They sourced their recipes from their own Grandma’s kitchen and have worked hard to get our products tasting yummy without adding preservatives, artificial colours or flavours, and refined flours.

The baby cereals they make are super nutritious with no refined sugar or salt and are very easy to make (just add hot water and mix well). For the whole family and for many young people who are cooking at home alone and need something healthy yet under 10 minutes also they have options, such as Millet Dosas, Millet pancakes

The products are tasty, healthy, easy to use, and affordable.

How Can You Help?

As a food company, they were allowed to be operational from day one but logistics have been uncertain, and there are several disruptions at this moment. If we want brands like these, who are giving us healthier out-of-the-box options, to survive then we need to boost their sales. Go check them out — Website

CUPIK DESIGN-Vocal For Local Campaign

Cupik Design Range

Cupikdesign.com is a 8-year-old India’s first and biggest personalised stationery online store with over 80 varieties of personalised stationary items.

The seed for Cupik Design was sown when Sheetal’s little one started pre-school (in 2012), and everything from her bag, bottle and snack box and her teddy and her little pink teacup (that she took to school for 2 hours one day) needed to be labelled with her name.

She made a few labels for her just for fun, and before she knew it, the other moms around me were asking her to make them for their kids too! She knew she was in business when her friends in across the world started calling and placing orders.

How Can You Help?

While they have clients across India and also sell to customers in the Middle East and Africa through our resellers. Their products are economical they upcycle and recycle material in our packaging. They would love you to use their products, give feedback and suggestions and tell their friends about it. They are a small company
and most of our customer come from word of mouth. As a small company they do not have money to advertise and they do not want to overcharge  customers, we find it hard to raise awareness about us but each of us can help them gain recognition.

How many of us shop for international brands abroad and then realise that the product label reads, Made In India? It basically means that we are paying a premium for good quality products which are exported from India. The one big change we will see in the coming months is getting export quality products in India as well. I hope my Vocal for local campaign will set you thinking about our economy and you will take your first step to supporting these wonderful brands.
