Madzzle Worldopedia- A game for the Earthlings!

A game for earthlings as the Madratters like to call it. It’s engaging and entertaining and takes the focus of watching the television away. And luckily it came to us when the summer vacations have just started.

When I was just scratching my head with ideas on how to keep my house from being destroyed. Yes, you leave two boys in a house with no planned activity for the day and it’s goes KABOOM!!

MadRat Games, is an innovative World’s first Roll-Up Puzzle. From theories of alien involvement to mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, Madzzle intrigues kids with amusing facts of the universe.

It comes in a convenient roll up box, so after we finish our game, rolling it back and storing it is easy.

Contents:

180 puzzle pieces

110 expedition cards

1 illusion decoder

240 counters

Madzzle Mat and Roll

Magic Beans

Rulebook and pamphlet

What can you do with it?

It should be more like, what all can you do with it! It does take some amount of skill and concentration to fit the 180 pieces together to form the world map, but in the process you and the kids do tend to notice the famous Motherland statue belongs to Russia, Hagia Sophia is located in Istanbul, these among the well know Burj Khalifa in Dubai and Colosseum in Rome. This took us a lot of time initially, though there is a chart explaining how to read co-ordinates mentioned on the puzzle pieces, we went by sorting colours and using more cognitive and spatial skills. Finally in two hours we managed to finish it. The second time around we finished in 45 minutes so once you get a hand of it, you can go faster.

But that’s not all once the puzzle is over, you can choose to play  ‘Object hunt’ and ‘Data Duel’ with the expedition cards. Both the games sounded very simple but when we got down to playing them we had a lot of fun. In ‘object hunt’ Mostly my elder son, Eeshan beat me at it. He had read about the wonders of the world and knew exactly where to place his counters even before I started looking.

During ‘data fuel’ , where you can choose one attribute from height, placement, weight, year and challenge, I scored better :).

The game kept us engaged for a good two hours at the least.

When we tried to finally rollaway the puzzle to store it, the interlock of the pieces opened and it was not smooth. I hope this improves as otherwise we just loved the Madzzle Worldopedia.
