6 Values You Should Instill In Young Children

You do not become a parent, you grow as one and every day is a learning. When I see my kids and myself as a parent, I am a far cry from my devoted mom. Yes, I am not an overly involved, overly protective mom but there are things that I am particular about. Whether my kids become the rising stars of tomorrow or not, only time will tell but I do want my kids to grow up as kind humans instilled with strong values and caring for their environment. There is no one who can teach them these better than me. As a parent, it is my responsibility to make my kids absorb the right set of values and making them distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.

Family Is Priority

Spending time with family is the utmost important thing which every individual should look after. Placing the right amount of focus is very important because that demonstrates the functioning channel of a family and if you want to lead your child on a right path then focus is the most crucial factor. You can start off by setting the habit of having daily prayers so that the kids will inculcate this value and they will continue doing this in their future too. You can teach kids to meditate too.

Never Breaking Trust

Trust is the most important factor which the parents need to build within their child. Because once the kids develop a bond of trust with their parents it is easy to take a control over them and lead them on a right path. Parents should fulfill the promises they make to their kids. If you can’t reach to their play from their office do not promise to keep their heart at that moment and then not turn up. It’s very important to gain their trust.

Learn To Belong

Every family has some kind of an essence within them which makes them appear distinct from other families. Every individual within the family plays an integral part because this is how the family is formed. Prep an easy schedule for your child and keep them indulged into everyday tasks at home. Appreciate them by rewarding them with small gifts or by praising them in front of the rest of the family members. Point out the factors which will eventually make them feel that they are an important part of the family and how those small little things are beneficial for the family.

Being Open To Change

Parents need to understand this thing that their kid’s behaviour changes as they grow. So it is necessary for parents to inculcate the habit of changing their behaviour as their child grows, this is how the parents can mingle up with the child with more ease. The will of doing something new and putting efforts to make things work is the sign of a good leader. So, this is how you can build a good relationship with your child by gulping the fact called flexibility in oneself as a parent.

Setting Boundaries

Setting boundaries is a must because, at a certain point of time, spending time with family is all that one needs. To bring out the best of your child you need to learn to say no to the good things and prepare them for the best things which are on their way. Leisure time is a necessity for every kid, but family time too is a necessity because this is how they will understand the importance of family and this is how they will be able to create a memory for themselves. And hence this is the reason why you should set boundaries for your children so as to make them play an active role in the family as well as to keep the family knot strong.

Family Values

Parents should have a clear cut idea about developing a particular kind of a family bond. They should elaborate the whole idea to their kids about having a particular kind of an atmosphere in the house and how their family is different from the rest of the families. By providing them with opportunities and by being open to them is how they can make their child grasp the perspective of one’s family and this is how they can build their child’s better future. Making the right decisions while your children are at a younger age, is the indication of you leading them onto the correct path.

This is how I would raise my kids, this is what I will teach them. No parent is same and we all have a different set of values. How do you manage your kids? What are the values that are important for you? Just remember to teach them when they are younger because then they absorb these without much judgement. Do write in to use we would love to hear.
