For all that cheesy delight !Recipe-Cheesy Garlic bread loaf

To make the Cheesy Garlic Bread loaf at home ,you will need;Ingredients:

170 gm Maida
7g yeast(preferably fine)
1 tsp refined grain sugar
Butter 7g(salted butter)
Salt 2 g
Water 80ml
Milk-25 ml
Cheese-40g or 2 wedges
Garlic-4 flakes

Tip 1-Use proper measuring spoons,as a little bit off here and there makes a difference in the quality of the bread.

How you do it-

Step 1:Take milk in a bowl add yeast and sugar and let the yeast work on sugar and make it dissolve(this will help in proper fermentation).This should take 5-10 min

Tip 2-Do not use powdered sugar as it’s purpose will be lost.The yeast has to work on sugar.
Tip3:Don’t use warm water as you will kill the yeast.

Step 2:Sieve the flour and make like a well in the centre and pour the yeast .Mix well ,add water as required.

Step 3:Add the butter and salt and rub it on the dough.Knead the dough like roti dough.It should be smooth and soft.This has to be done well,you need to stretch and then pull and roll it back and repeat a few times.This is the most important step ,so you should spend sufficient time on this to get it perfect.It should be smooth and soft.Alternately,you can make the dough in a food processor.

Tip 4:The best way to check it is to take a small piece stretch it on all ends and it should be translucent without breaking.

Step 4:Leave the dough to ferment covering it with a damp thin muslin cloth.This is also known as ‘proving’ of the bread.Leave it in a warm place,so avoid leaving it in A.C.Ideally in 20-25 min it should double .

Step 5:After this knock the bread back,add in the cheese and garlic (try stuffing it in ,like we stuff parathas).Knock it back again.

Step 6:Knead and leave it to prove again.

Step 7:After it has further proved,knock it back and shape it like a loaf.Make some cuts on the top of the bread ,sprinkle grated cheese on it and gently press it a bit in the cuts ,so that cheese does not fall off.

Step 8:In the meanwhile pre-heat your oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.Now put the loaf on the greased tray and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Tip 5:Toc check whether the bread is done or not,tap the bottom of the bread and it should sound hollow.If not,then put it back in the oven for 5 min.

Step 9:Cool the bread sufficiently before cutting,as it takes time for the baking process to be over even after it has baked in the oven.
