Of Grandmas And Grandsons !!

Side by side or miles apart, grandchildren are always close to the heart
.

The power of a grandparent’s love in the life of a child is immeasurable. My kids are very close to my parents and there is a unique bond they share with them, especially my mom. Works for me as this gives me immense peace and freedom when they are around. I shamelessly hand the kids over to them. Not guilty!!

We visit my parents once a twice a year and this story dates back to the time when two years back we visited them during kid’s winter holidays.

My mom would take the kids to the park every day and they would do a pit stop at the friendly, neighbourhood store for Kinder joy and more. One day while riding the cycle my elder one’s jacket got stuck in the cycle chain and now we had a problem. His favourite Ben 10 jacket was stained and we were not carrying too many warm clothes. I put it in the washing machine to wash. The green in it was almost brown. Little did I know what catastrophe was in store for me. When it came back from the wash, the jacket had disfigured and shrunk. When my son saw it, he threw a fit! He looked like Gollum from Lord of the rings, and I could almost picture him holding the jacket and calling out ‘my precious’ in a non-whispering tone. My little-lost fellow!!

That’s when my mom reminded me of Godrej Ezee which she had been using for years giving #Ezeecares to our warm clothes. Mumbai and it’s weather had no real need for warm clothes and I had forgotten these gems of wisdom.

” You have forgotten everything. I have always used Godrej Ezee for our warm clothes. The pH-neutral liquid detergent with  ‘Zero Soda’ formula in it cleans gently and does not harm woolens. Remember how you loved the feel and fragrance it left behind? And now that you are a homemaker, this will appeal more to you; It is so reasonable. A one kg bottle costs just 175 rupees and a 1/2 a bucket needs not more than 10 ml of liquid which meant less than 2 rupees to wash a single sweater as against dry cleaning which can vary between 80-200 rupees depending on what service you use.”

“Mom, do something, he is so upset”

That’s when my mom took out the sweater she had knitted for her grandson for Christmas. It was a green and red stripe sweater and it reminded me of the innumerable ones she used to knit when we were kids. Ah, Grandmas!! What would we do in the world without them?

” Thank you nani, you are the best!”

For the next few days, it was his skin. After all, it was made by ‘nani’, whom he absolutely adores. He would play, eat and sleep in it. They were inseparable. He had found a new ‘precious’.

Mom also promised her grandson that she would remove the stain from his jacket too and it would be even better than before. Thank God for grandmas and #GodrejEzee who care. #EzeeCares

We all have some stories to share on our parents and kids. We would love to hear some :).

p.s. This is a sponsored post but my story and experiences are from my life and we do use #GodrejEzee for our clothes
