Let us agree, each and every student has lots of pencils, colours, rubbers, sharpeners etc and they keep getting misplaced magically! So, what can be done is, kids can take various mason jars in bright and pretty colours and use these to store small stationary items. For instance, maintain a jar for colour pencils, another one for erasers and so on.  Store all these jars on a shelf so that you always replace the things to wherever they belong. You can also use clear plastic jars instead as glass jars are breakable.

You can play around with colours of your choice while painting the box or simply stick a packing paper of your liking.

For the sake of explaining, If you have a cabinet with 6 different drawers, use each drawer smartly. You can use the top most drawer to store your daily wear tee shirts and shorts. The second drawer may be used for storing your uniform and school dress accessories like a tie, belt, badges, socks etc.

Back To School Tips: Declutter

In order to keep your stuff organised, it is very important that you throw away stuff that you no longer use on a regular basis. Make it a fortnightly habit to scan through your stuff and purge stuff like exhausted sketch pens, old magazines, broken things etc. Also, f you have some stuff that does not make you happy anymore, you can give it away to charity or sell on various websites that trade second-hand stuff.

Back To School Tips: Colour code your books and notebooks

If your school gives you the liberty to, then, it is a great way to segregate notebooks and books belonging to different subjects by colour coding them. For instance, you can cover all your English notebooks and textbooks in Pink, Mathematics in Blue and so on. This would make it very easy for you to spot books belonging to a particular subject. Also, always label your books and notebooks in bold font!

Back To School Tips: Get tech-savvy

Let us admit, many of us use certain phone apps, youtube and google searches for finishing up our assignments. We also share assignments, reference papers etc over the phone. So, create a folder on your phone by the name of the school and put all the study related apps in that folder this way you have quick access to stuff.

So, these were some organising hacks for students. If you have some more, please share!
