All of us want to be fit but shy away from committing to what is needed for healthy living. I include myself in both the categories. At times it just gets hard to make fitness and health a priority.

Today I share some of my #momhacks which will certainly help you be a little more active.

1. Consume Lots Of Water For Healthy Living:

Start your day with a bottle of water. It’s going to wake you up. Plus it’s good for digestion. And also, try to have as much water as you can throughout the day

Pro Tip – Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Also, green tea and white tea is a good way to keep yourself hydrated.

2. Meal Prep For Healthy Living:

Try to prepare your healthy meals in advance. For example – on Sundays cook your meals till Wednesday. This will ensure no cheating with meals, as it’s all cooked.

Example: Boil a few eggs, grill chicken, make a batch of soup.

Pro Tip – Invest in good quality microwaveable containers. You can divide your food day wise, and you are good to go. Also, always include some veggies in your diet. But, don’t make the fruits and veggies the diet.

 3. 30 Minutes Workout For Healthy Living:

You can definitely find thirty minutes in a day to workout. It can be a jog around the park, some YouTube workouts or a visit to the gym. If you like running, then go for a run. Start slow- you can always increase time and pace later.

Pro Tip– Workouts like Zumba and Pilates are on the list of good news. You can try out one of these too.

Also, take stairs wherever possible, trust me it works. Positive self-talk, boost your spirit. Involve your kids when you can. Make them start early :)!

4. Control Stress:

Stress withers the mind, body, and soul completely. It’s important to keep this at bae. Try to meditate or do some yoga to be stress-free. You can do all this and more at home also.

Pro Tip – Give some ‘me time’ to yourself. Unplug from the world. Listen to some music, go for a run or just beat your happy place.

5. Make it a lifestyle:

Take it from me, I have tried to crash diet – lost weight and gained it back. So, now I have just moved to make it a lifestyle change. This means nothing is off limits. I can have a slice or two of pizza. Dailly? NO! Do not deprive yourself of any food groups. It’s not a good idea to cut out food groups. In fact, if you overate just run a little more the next day!

Pro Tip – Eat healthy balanced meals. Do not just eat grilled fish with greens. That will make you weak. You can download the app called My Fitness Pal, and it will guide you how many calories you need in a day. We are human, and it’s normal to not follow things to the core. The magic word is to move on.

As humans, we tend to make things look a lot more complicated than they need to be.

If you follow few of my tips I’m sure you will feel more active and healthy in a few weeks.

Disclaimer- I’m not a fitness expert. All tips are based on my own weight loss (lost 8 kilos) and research.

Awesome tips. I am actually gaining a lot of weight these days and have no idea what to do. Can you even suggest some quick exercise routine as well? I weigh about 68 kgs and 5’5″ tall so based on my weight let me know which exercise will be good to follow

What a great transformation. I agree with you no crash diets and certainly not excluding any food groups. That does not work in long run.
Exercise and eat a balanced diet is the key to sustained Wight management

This is totally inspiring. I agree that when you exercise you feel motivated to exercise more. And it is never a good idea to ignore a food group totally instead have in little proportions.
